Redbud - Eastern

Cercis canadensis

Description

Redbuds are native to the northeastern United States, bearing pea-shaped pinkish lavender flowers in early spring. Flowers are edible and make a great addition to fresh spring dishes. Blooms also attract beneficial pollinators. Leaves are heart-shaped and transition from a vibrant green to light yellow in autumn.
